With multiple living areas and over 788 square feet of luxurious space, Suite Portofino is our grandest suite! Guests’ jaws drop at this exquisite ‘owner’s suite’ located on the second level. Access it by either interior or exterior staircases, as well as our Almost Famous glass elevator. In Suite Portofino an artistic boveda brick ceiling arches high overhead. Although it is rarely needed, we have installed the latest remote-controlled, split air conditioner in Suite Portofino. Ten-foot-wide French doors lead to a private terrace which overlooks the pool and Lake Chapala beyond.

ABOUT THE SUITE PORTOFINO LIVING AREAS

A 3-sided electric fireplace forms a natural divider between two sections. One is a sitting area with an upholstered sofa, chair and large iron/tiled table. Another section other offers wingback chairs and ottomans with table and lamp, all perfect for reading. Still another features an antique writing desk, chair and lovely rug.

For your convenience, Suite Portofino includes a kitchenette area with sink, a cabinet containing all necessary kitchen equipment, and refrigerator with freezer. Also included is a Nescafe Dolce Gusto coffee pod with all the accessories..

Bellissimo’s has created yet another special space ~ a fully stocked, mirrored honor bar with separate table and two chairs. This area offers a spectacular view of the Sierra Madre mountains to the North. Outside this private lounge area is another separate and covered terrace with sensational East Village, mountain, and church views.

No wall in this dell’arte boutique hotel lacks original artwork. In Suite Portofino, we feature the works of artists Joanna Zjawinska and John Malough. Even on the terrace, you will find original art.

FOR YOUR SLEEPING AND LOUNGING COMFORT

A striking hand-carved king-size bed with lions feet, 4″ memory foam and top quality bedding awaits. Beside the bed, we have placed two oversized hand-carved side tables and lamps. Facing the bed is a built-in cabinet housing one of the two televisions provided. We have equipped the bed area with dimmable wall sconces and an overhead fan with remote. On the opposite wall is a 43” flat screen TV.

PRESENTING AN EXTRAORDINARY BATHROOM

The extra large bathroom in the suite Portofino offers a two-person Jacuzzi tub and three LED candles. We have built in an abundance of cabinetry with granite countertops. We added two sit-down vanity areas and dual sinks. Each is equipped with body lotion and hand soap dispensers.  We also added toiletries dispenser, a lighted magnifying mirror, a hair dryer and built-in night light. A separate shower — also with wall mounted toiletries dispenser — proves especially enjoyable with endless hot water supplied by our EcoSmart system.
